Finally there!

Took a while and was pretty exhausting, but ... finally there!
Japan from above while preparing to land at Narita Airport.
Siberia is really HUGE. I didn't sleep much inflight and thus the immigration proecdures and the other trials and puzzles in Narita Airport dungeon (getting the railpass, topping up the suica, fetching my wirelas wifi) were a bit tricky and tedious but I managed!

After reaching Koiwa via Keisei Rapid and local trains (They sell drinks in the rapid, and often; not like once in a 3 hour drive. Hear that, ICE managers?) I took a Taxi just to do it once and the service was as flawless as it was expensive. But that was expected.
Inside the Keisei Narita Rapid
Looks a bit like home.
I missed a complete village of Samurai style houses a few seconds later. Rats!
View from Koiwa station.
After reaching the hotel I just managed to change and walk down the street like 20m. for the next Yakitori grill. No pics there, bnut man... it was good. Didn't know that chicken skin and cartilage ("soft bone") can be bbq'd and actually taste good. The cartilage was of course crunchy and strange at first, but quite edible. On the other hand, almost everything which is grilled over charcoal in front of you to absolute perfection is quite edible, I guess.

In this grill the power of Google Translate showed its true face. Nobody spoke english or german but with smartphones and translation of speech to text everything worked out.

For the good night I perused the beer vending machine (Japan is so much more civilized than Europe...) in front of my hotel room
Every good hotel should have them on every floor!
To fetch me this good tasting little blue gem.

Today weather is nice and sunny and I plan to go to the Tokyo Skytree and Asakusa with the Senso-Ji. The pics below are from my hotel room on the 8th floor facing east to Chiba prefecture. This okyo proper is west. Koiwa where I am staying is something like a worker suburb on the eastern outskirts of Edogawa ward.
