Akihabara, Land of Dreams! Or was it Transsylvania? Doesn't matter really. Akihabara is the center of the Manga and Anime Unviverse and thus by definition the only location on this planet that really matters and has to be defended at all costs in case of an alien invasion.
In my imagination I saw a sea of glass castles with anime girls and blinking neon in this most advanced of all technological fortresses (it is also called electric town officially). Well yeah, they do have some of those and there are without doubt some technologically advanced shops. For instance I bought a solar powered powerbank after the gruesome experience of the evening before.
But I didn't buy it from some robot in a glass palace but from some guy in a back alley stall. Actually most of Akihabara is back alleys. Proper shady, grimy, weird back alleys. I like it better than my imagination to be honest, but to each his own.
I made pics here with my mobile since I couldn't be bothered to take out the camera.

The first and only grafitti I saw in Japan. Guess they were made by tourists. |

Who would not want to eat Spaghetti with radish and curry rice advertised by this charming chap? |

My lunch. Slightly spicy pasta with a heap of tiny translucent fish on top. Was actually really good. |
