April 10th - Insanity continues. From Yatsushiro to Hamada.

Why did I want to go to Hamada? Right, they are famous for squid. And they have a giant Aquarium. Yeah. Which idiot did that planning with 1 night sleepovers? Me? Rats, I really would want to hit that guy if it was not me.

In all earnest. This was the most stupid idea I ever had. After getting everything packed up, reaching the station and a couple of hours of train rides you really don't want to do any sightseeing anymore. Especially not when the weather is as shitty (rainy and strong winds) as it was.

The hotel was really nice though and in actual walking distance to the station, even with luggage.

Yatsushiro station. Kumamoto region. This pedo bear will haunt my nightmares. Seriously. Look at that creepy smile....

I mean this smile. Ghastly, huh?

After narrowly escaping pedo bears greedy clutches, I went by Shinkansen to Shin Yamagouchi. From there it was a local train to Hamada.

The scenery was awesome as always in Japan. Part of it was mountains, part sea and part sea and mointains. They really have it all here. I didn't take many pics since I was lazy and the light was bad. Just one to illustrate the parts running by the sea of Japan. On the other side are Russia and Korea.
